PROCODE: Reimagining Esports Infrastructure with AI

From spreadsheets to sophisticated platforms, the evolution of competitive gaming has been marked by fragmentation. Enter PROCODE, a Bahrain-based startup building an AI-native operating system designed to connect every aspect of the esports journey.

Founded in 2024 by Shahd AlZaki and Rami Jamal, PROCODE addresses a clear industry need: tournament organizers juggling multiple tools, coaches managing player development separately, and players lacking centralized tracking of their competitive history. “Competitive gaming has grown enormously, particularly in the MENA region, yet much still relies on manual systems,” explains CEO AlZaki.

The All-in-One Solution

The PROCODE platform revolves around four core areas:

  • Compete: Run tournaments, leagues, and multi-season circuits with integrated scoring and ranking systems
  • Train: Connect players with verified coaches and access AI-powered video analysis tools
  • Pay: Manage prize distributions, sponsorships, and player payments securely within the platform
  • Deploy: Offer white-label solutions, APIs, and analytics for organizations to integrate PROCODE seamlessly

Underpinning these features are AI agents that automate administrative tasks—a significant time-saver given that 49% of global tournaments still rely on manual management.

Regional Focus with Global Potential

PROCODE’s design reflects its commitment to the MENA market, where competitive players represent over $100 million within a $540 billion global industry. The platform features:

  • Full Arabic language support (right-to-left functionality)
  • Payment infrastructure tailored for regional preferences
  • Cultural nuances built into user experience

“We’re not just translating an English platform; we’re creating a native digital home for competitive gaming in the Arab world,” says AlZaki.

Early Traction and Community Building

To date, PROCODE has engaged:

  • 4,000 users across players, coaches, and organizers
  • Managed 10 tournaments with growing participation
  • Secured partnerships with three brand ambassadors boasting a combined following of over 550,000

By centralizing key functions, PROCODE is making competitive gaming more accessible while empowering organizations to operate efficiently.

The startup’s journey has been supported by the Standard Chartered Foundation’s Women in Tech Accelerator, which provided both funding and mentorship as they built their solution.
