Meta Unveils Advanced AI Agents for Developers
Meta has launched two new coding agents, Muse Code and Muse Spark 1.2, demonstrating significant progress in long-sequence task handling.
Key Improvements in Muse Spark 1.2
- Expanded training compute with diverse environments
- Enhanced code generation, debugging, and project understanding
- Optimized for developer workflows with integrated toolsets
- Maintains strength in general AI tasks while excelling in coding
Muse Code and Muse Spark were co-trained to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance when used together. The training process incorporated advanced techniques like rejection sampling and recipe optimization.
Pricing Model Offers Incentives for Data Sharing
Meta is offering two pricing tiers:
- Standard: $1.25 per million inputs, $4.25 per million outputs
- Contributor Tier: For users who allow Meta to use their data for model improvement - only $0.10/$0.20 respectively
The contributor tier provides significant savings while accelerating AI development through community participation.
Visual Progress: The Evolving Pelican
One of the more whimsical outputs from Muse Spark 1.2 generates cartoon illustrations. A recent creation shows a pelican riding a bicycle, representing a tangible improvement over previous versions - the 1.1 model produced a similar image with slightly less detail.
