IEC’s ROC- Results Operation Centre has announced the outcome of South Africa’s NPE- National Provincial Elections 2024. This event took place last night- Sunday 2 June 2024 in Midrand, South Africa.
IEC’s Tech System challenges
The announcement of the results came after certain political parties raised objections, claiming irregularities in the IEC’s results capturing process and some technical glitches that IEC’s system experienced last Thursday. However, IEC chairperson Mosotho Moepya stated that these objections did not significantly affect the overall outcome.
“These are the election results for South Africa 2024, notwithstanding the technological glitches.” said Moepya when he presented the outcomes.

ANC has lost 71 seats in Parliament while DA gains 3 and the new kid on the block- MKP scores 58 seats.
Moepya concluded by saying that, “These elections were undoubtedly the most difficult and the most highly contested as a nation.”
