SAP announced today the appointment of Kholiwe Makhohliso, a seasoned technology executive, as its new Managing Director for Southern Africa.
Sergio Maccotta, Senior Vice-President for Middle East South, and Africa at SAP highlights the significance of Makhohliso joining the company at this time. He states, “Organizations throughout Southern Africa are discovering new capabilities and efficiency gains by intelligently utilizing technology, which accelerates business transformation and sustainability efforts. As the region transitions to more agile and resilient business processes to drive growth across various industries, Kholiwe’s expertise in technology and leadership will be a valuable asset to our business.”
With over 20 years of experience in the technology sector and previous leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, Makhohliso began her career as an auditor. Throughout her illustrious career, she has worked in IT, consulting, and sales for renowned companies such as Accenture and Oracle. Most recently, she served as the Vice-President and Country Managing Director for the German software company Software AG, where she also held a position as an Executive Director on the board.
Makhohliso’s passion for education and youth skills development is evident as she serves as the Chairperson of the Sparrow Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education and learning opportunities to disadvantaged South African youth.
