David Adams, drawing upon more than two decades of extensive experience in the payment services sector, has taken on the position of Managing Director at Payfast.  With a seasoned background, Adams previously lent his expertise to esteemed entities like Network International in the Middle East and Mastercard in the United Kingdom. Upon returning to South Africa in 2023, Payfast appointed him as Chief Commercial Officer.
Adams succeeds Brendon Williamson, who recently relinquished his position after serving since 2021. During Williamson’s tenure at Payfast, he played a pivotal role in guiding the company through various significant acquisitions and mergers. Notably, he spearheaded the consolidation of multiple brands, including Payfast, Paygate, SiD, VCs, and DPO Pay, within Network International. Williamson’s tenure within the broader organization spans over a decade. David Adams has made significant contributions to the payment services sector over his extensive career.
Under Adams’ stewardship, Payfast will maintain its position as a leader in ecommerce across South Africa, committed to delivering top-tier products and services.
